Last weekend, I did a test shoot with model Ashley C to update her fashion modeling portfolio. It was originally meant to be a simple photo shoot an hour before sunset. Just as we pulled into the parking lot of the shoot location, rain started pouring from the sky. We waited almost 20 minutes before the dark cloud moved away. We quickly got off from the car and did several looks using a mix of available and artificial lights. I usually start with a basic head shot as the first look as it is a good way to get the model to warm up. Typically the subsequent looks are half body and full body shots and they are used to demonstrate the model's posing skill. Since Ashley is an experienced model, it didn't take long to get the required shots. After the photo shoot, I spent about an hour to process the selected images. It is important to make the final images to look as natural as possible with little to no sign of editing. The last picture shows the before and after of one of the head shots.
